Thanks to your participation and generosity, the Capital Campaign for the Ascension of Our Lord Parish has met and indeed exceeded its stretch objective of $1,300,000.

As of September 8, 2020, the amount of dollars pledged is $1,354,105. As you will see below, this has allowed the parish to proceed with several of the important projects presented in the Campaign Brochure.

Campaign Co-Chairs John Peacock and Barbara Cefis, along with our pastor Father MacEachen and the members of the campaign coordinating committee, wish to express to you their deepest appreciation and gratitude for your unparalleled response and invite those who have not yet had the opportunity to contribute to consider doing so before the closure of the Campaign in 2021.

For in addition to the financial goal, the Co-Chairs also set a participation objective for this Campaign. A fulsome participation of the Ascension of Our Lord community is essential to the future good health of our parish.

The participation rate has moved upward since the Campaign was launched in May 2019. By October 2019, 30% of registered parishioners had donated to the Campaign; by February 2020, the participation rate had increased to 45%; and as of today, it is at almost 50%. A respectable number, but we can and want to do better.

If you have not had a chance to contribute, please consider doing so now. You still have a chance to be part of this important, special church initiative. For even though we have attained our financial objective, your contributions will help strengthen the Church’s reserve fund as there will be no shortage of projects for our 100-year old facility in the near to mid-term future.

Equally important, in making your contribution, you will join the ranks of your fellow parishioners in asserting the vigor and vibrancy of the Ascension of Our Lord community.

Thank you again for your support and should you have any questions:
