The Holy Triduum at Ascension Parish was very well attended, and much appreciated by those who gathered to celebrate the Passion, Death and Resurrection of Our Lord Jesus Christ. The agreeable spring weather disposed or inclined people to attend.
I want to express my gratitude to you for participating in the services, praying together as a faith community, and commemorating the events of the Paschal Mystery as we honoured and glorified God Our Father.
To all who played a special part in the celebrations I express my sincere thanks: • David Barrington for decorating the Church and serving as Sacristan • the Eucharistic Ministers, Lectors, Altar-servers, Ushers • the parishioners who shared in the Holy Thursday ritual of the Washing of the Feet • Joel Peters, our Choir Master, and • the Ascension Choir who led us in song and enriched the liturgies with their voices, • and all of you who were so generous in your donations and offerings which helps to sustain the parish.
Special mention to those who made an offering to purchase the flowers that decorate the Church for Easter.
Easter season is celebrated for fifty days in the Church, and concludes on the Feast of Pentecost. May the Risen One provide you with many blessings, graces and Peace.
