Week 4: Share Love, Share Lent
Raise a toast to yourself!

Show your support by donating generously this coming Solidarity Sunday. Feast of St. Joseph March 19th

Following Pope Francis’s announcement declaring 2021 a special year dedicated to St. Joseph, Christians around the world are rejoicing in celebration of the man who was foster father to Jesus.

The archdiocese has set up a page on the website where you can find some projects and activities developed in conjunction with St. Joseph’s Oratory to help you live and celebrate this special year dedicated to the Patron Saint of Workers: www.diocesemontreal.org/st-joseph

In preparation for the Feast of Saint Joseph on March 19th, the Oratory invites all to pray this prayer daily:

God our Father, you entrusted Joseph with the mission
of being the foster father of Jesus, your Beloved Son.
Faithful to this call, he remained strong in trials, full of tenderness and attentiveness,
by taking care of the Child of the Promise and his mother Mary.
You call us to be like Saint Joseph,
strong and courageous in difficult times,
attentive to the needs of the people around us,
and tender to those who suffer.
Following the example of his friend, Saint Brother André, help us listen to others.
Inspire us with words of hope, which through your Father’s heart reveal full love and mercy.
Keep us strong in faith, faithful in our commitments,
confident in the face of the unknown, and joyful in welcoming life Amen

Share Love, Share Lent:
(Re)discover Development and Peace

The Share Love, Share Lent campaign is inspired by Pope Francis’s encyclical, Fratelli Tutti and its call “for a love that transcends… geography and distance” and “allows us to acknowledge, appreciate and love each person.”

Each week, the campaign explores a different aspect of Development and Peace’s work and offers you ways to become involved.

This week, the Share Love, Share Lent campaign looks at how your solidarity is meaningful for Rohingya refugees and their host communities in Bangladesh. Please pray for communities affected by crises and help us to keep supporting them by contributing to the collection on the Fifth Sunday of Lent.
