The Ascension of Our Lord Choir will be presenting a Christmas Concert
Date: Sunday, December 8th
Time: 2:00 p.m.
Place: Ascension of Our Lord -Westmount
featuring our parish choir including Mc Gill Scholar Choir members with organ, piano and string accompaniment.
This afternoon concert will also include works for solo organ by Oliver Messaien, Bach and Loret, performed by Choir Director and organist Joel Peters on the newly restored Opus 1344 Casavant organ.
The Choir will also lead the attendees in traditional carols such as ‘Joy to the World’, and ‘The First Nowell’.
A reception following the Concert will conclude the event.
Please make an effort to attend.
If you can not be here but would like to make a contribution to the Choir Fund, please pick up a blue envelope at the back of the church and return it whenever you can.

The City of Westmount will honor all the War Veterans with a Commemorative Service at the Cenotaph, Sunday, November 10th at 2:00 p.m.
All are invited to attend this ceremony.

The Ascension of Our Lord is pleased to participate once more in the Religious Heritage Days
September 7 and 8, 2024.
The Church will be open to visitors on:
Saturday, September 7 from 10:00 am to noon
Sunday, September 8 from 2:00 to 4:00 pm
Patrimoine Recital
on Sunday, September 8 at 3pm
Joel Peters, Music Director and organist, will give a recital for voice, organ, piano and electronics, with acclaimed soprano Léa Weilbrenner Lebeau.
This concert will feature a beautiful variety of repertoire, showcasing the newly restored Casavant organ and highlighting the incredible talents of Weilbrenner Lebeau.
There is no charge for the concert — free will offerings are welcome.
A booklet has been created detailing the Church and its place in the architectural church history of Quebec, the particularly unique characteristics of its original Casavant organ, as well as the stained glass windows.

In addition, representatives of the parish community will be on site to welcome visitors and answer any questions they may have.
