Pilgrimage for Catechists
An invitation to walk, pray, and renew our mission — together with Archbishop Christian Lépine
Those who accompany others in faith know how essential it is, from time to time, to pause… to step away, to listen again to the Lord, and to allow Him to renew our hearts.
The Pilgrimage for Catechists to Italy, undertaken in the company of Archbishop Christian Lépine, is an invitation to do just that. More than a trip, it is a journey of spiritual renewal, fellowship, and missionary encouragement for those who serve the Church through catechesis and parish ministry.
Why this pilgrimage matters
Catechists and those in parish ministry give generously of themselves. This pilgrimage is envisioned as a time of receiving – a time to allow oneself to be nourished, and to reconnect deeply with the roots of our faith.
By walking in the footsteps of saints and witnesses of the faith, participants are invited to:
– deepen their personal spiritual journey and relationship with Christ;
– rekindle their sense of vocation;
– and return home encouraged, with a renewed, strengthened spirit for mission.
Sharing this experience alongside Archbishop Christian Lépine also highlights the deep communion between those who serve at the grassroots and the shepherd of our local Church.
Who is this pilgrimage for?
This pilgrimage is open to adults aged 18 and over who are engaged in pastoral ministry, including those involved in:
– sacramental preparation;
– RCIA/the catechumenate;
– youth ministry;
– accompaniment of couples preparing for marriage;
– family ministry;
– or any other role that contributes to faith formation.

A spirt of hope and peace
As we welcome the new year, Archbishop Christian Lépine invites each of us to make a resolution of kindness—an intentional commitment to nurture peace in the world around us.
He reminds us that we are capable of doing so: by choosing what is true, beautiful, and good, we can touch the hearts of others and help build a more compassionate world.
This message is one to watch and share,
as we usher in the new year in the spirit of hope and peace.
