WARDENS ELECTED
A meeting was held on Sunday, December 7th at Ascension Parish with the purpose of electing wardens to replace those completing their terms.
Louise Mac Lellan was elected for a second term; Eoin O’ Haigan was elected for a second mandate; and Pino Di Ioia was elected for a new term.
Their terms, which are for three years, begin January 1st 2026. We thank these parishioners for allowing their name to stand to serve the parish as wardens.
Special thanks to Madeleine Varkay for serving on the Board of Wardens for the past two terms.
All parishes under the Fabrique Act of Quebec require 6 wardens to assist the pastor in the financial and temporal affairs of the parish.
Congratulations to our newly elected board members.
Food Bank Donation
We have a tradition in our parish to support the hungry on a more continuous basis. Over 860,000 Canadians visit food banks every month, with over 36% of the donations feeding hungry children.
