WEEK OF PRAYER

DECEMBER 29 2024

An evening of Prayer
on January 19, 2025

Join us for a profound evening of prayer and reflection during the Week of Prayer for Christian Unity, commemorating the 1,700th anniversary of the First Ecumenical Council of Nicaea (325 AD).

This historic milestone invites Christians from all traditions to celebrate their shared faith as expressed in the Nicene Creed.

This year’s prayers and reflections have been lovingly prepared by the monastic community of Bose in Italy, bringing together Anglicans, Catholics, Orthodox, and Protestants of Montreal.
Let us unite in Christ to pray for the unity of our Churches

Presiding:
– Most Reverend Christian Lépine,
Archbishop of Montreal
– Most Reverend Ioan Casian,
Bishop of the Romanian Diocese of Canada
– In collaboration with
the Canadian Centre for Ecumenism

Join Us for World Day of Migrants and Refugees

You are warmly invited to participate in a local celebration of World Day of Migrants and Refugees on
Sunday, September 29, 2024, 5:00 PM
at Saint-Martyrs-du-Vietnam, 2602 rue Beaubien E.
This special celebration will be led by
Archbishop Christian Lépine.

The theme, “God Walks with His People,” reminds us that the Lord is with those on the move, especially migrants and refugees. This day calls us to stand in solidarity with those who are forced to flee their homes due to violence, persecution, or hardship.

We encourage you to join us in this important time dedicated to reflection, prayer, and community action. Together, we can advocate for policies that respect the dignity and safety of all individuals.

Let us unite in prayer and commitment to ensure that every person is treated with compassion and justice.

We hope to see you there.

Warm regards,

Fr. Pierangelo Paternieri
Episcopal Vicar, and
Director of the Office of
Cultural Communities and Rituals
