Enjoy an afternoon of music for Advent and Christmas presented by The Ascension of our Lord Choir, complete with choir, strings, piano, organ and soloists.
Notable highlights include “O Come, Emmanuel” by E. Hagenburg, “O Holy Night” by A. Adam, “I Wonder as I Wander” arranged by Rutter and selections from George Friedrich Handel’s “Messiah”.
The afternoon concert will also include works for solo organ by Olivier Messaien, Bach and Loret, performed by Choir Director and Organist Joel Peters on the newly restored Opus 1344 Casavant organ.
The choir will also lead the attendees in traditional carols such as “Joy to the World” and “The First Nowell.”
A reception following the concert concludes the event.
