The Ascension of Our Lord choir presents a Christmas Concert on the First Sunday of Advent – November 30^th at 2:00 PM, featuring our wonderful Ascension Choir, including four McGill Scholar choir members under the direction of the Ascension parish’s organist and choir director, Joel Peters.

The concert will include works by Rutter, Berlioz, Chilcott, as well as excerpts from Handel’s Messiah. As has been the case in the past, those attending will also be asked to join the choir in singing a few Christmas carols. 

Over the last three years, parishioner donations have contributed significantly to the Ascension’s collaboration with McGill’s Schulich School of Music in hiring students in the Voice program to lead the choir’s soprano, alto, bass and tenor sections.

We hope you will join us for an afternoon of inspiring music in the setting of our beautiful church to begin the Advent season.

The concert is open to all.
We accept a freewill offering, and tax receipts will be issued for donations of $35 and more.

Refreshments will be served following the concert.
