100 bags? We filled a lot more than that in October!
A heartfelt thank you to all our parishioners who responded so generously to our Centennial Community Initiative, bringing heavy bags and boxes filled with much-needed food for those in need, as well as making cash donations to support this effort.
Here is what Sister Dianna had to say when her volunteers arrived with the first delivery last week. A second delivery will be needed to accommodate all the bags we received on November 1st!
“I am just overwhelmed with the generosity of the parishioners of Ascension of Our Lord.
The words ‘thank you’ do not come near to the gratitude I feel! I just stood there and cried looking over the sea of bags and boxes as they were carried in from the truck.
This is one Centennial Celebration that gets an A++!”
