ADVENT MASS OF CONCERN

NOVEMBER 22, 2020

Next Sunday, the First Sunday in Advent we show our concern for our less fortunate neighbours through donations to our annual
“Advent Mass of Concern”.

In your Sunday envelopes; you will find one specific for this Mass.

If you do not have Sunday envelopes, specially marked envelopes, labelled “Advent Mass of Concern” are available at the entrance to the church.

Both cash and cheques are accepted. Cheques should be made out to Ascension of Our Lord Parish.

Your generosity in supporting our Advent project will help feed and shelter the homeless and poor this Christmas.

NOVEMBER 15, 2020

Throughout the month of November a Book of Remembrance is normally available at the back of the church in which you are invited to inscribe the names of all family and friends whom you would like remembered in prayer by our parish community during this month.

Unfortunately this year we are not able to set out the book.

However, at every Mass in November Father MacEachen will have a special intention for all who have died and whom we wish to have remembered.

The Living with Christ Sunday Mass books for the coming Liturgical Year are available for sale at the back of the church as of this weekend.

The cost is $5 each.

The supply is limited so you are encouraged to purchase your copy as soon as possible, and to write your name in your book.

If you are currently not able to attend Mass in person, but would like a Missal, please contact the parish to make arrangements to obtain one.

Our Capital Campaign continues throughout 2020.

Thanks to your generosity and to an anonymous donor who made an exceptional gift, we are doing very well.

If you have not made your Contribution as of yet, why not consider doing so at this time. Whatever the amount, it will be most appreciated and meaningful in helping us reach our goal. LEARN MORE >>>

Food Bank Donation

We have a new tradition in our parish to support the hungry on a more continuous basis. Over 860,000 Canadians visit food banks every month, with over 36% of the donations feeding hungry children.

During the COVID‑19 isolation, please leave your items in a bag at the door of the rectory. Donations will be delivered to St. Willibrord’s parish food bank.
